Monitor actin up

hiya - am wonderin if we have any monitor guys who can help/confirm my thoughts

problem:
monitor(tft) turns on and briefly(read half a second) shows image from input(pc) then screen goes blank, buuuuuut the monitor stays on according to the led, i have to hit the power button to turn the monitor off again.

i have tested monitor on other rigs and it does the same, and have tried workin monitors on the rig that normally runs the 'faulty" monitor and they work fine, so i'm 100% its the monitor.

any one had or fixed this b4 or am i gonna have to say goodbye to this one and replace

sounds to me like a power issue. maybe something wrong with the inverter that drives the acctual screen. the other circuts in an lcd i believe run before the inverter. this would cause the power led to be on but the acctual lcd to be off. find out if its still covered under the manufacture waranty if its a little older. frequently in store waranty is shorter then the one the manufacture provides.
