I need to make my desktop-PC mobile'ish for stuff like LAN parties and l33t haXXor meetings etc. My goal is to pack a whole desktop pc, keyboard+mouse, and LCD screen (:eek:) into some big metal attache-case sort of carriable case.

the main space-consuming hardware ill be trying to stuff in there include:
- nForce 680i motherboard (full ATX size, 12" x 9.6")
- GeForce 8800 GTX card (sticking out of the motherboard some 4.5")
- PSU, HDD, DVD/RW
- Heatsink space (no more than the GTX sticks out, lets say, 4.5")
- LCD (some ultra thin 15" or 17" with the standup seperated)
- keyboard + mouse

I guess i have 2 choices;

1: start by finding the smallest pc case out there.
- any advice?

2: weld the hardware into the case (:eek:)
- any advice? maybe some websites out there discuss pc-case modding techniques? maybe someone already invented this

You could use a standard mid-atx case (watch inside dimensions for GTX) and just put a handle on the top. I can't remember where I seen it but, this guy mounted the monitor to his case on a swing arm. He would swing it against the case when not in use and then swing it out when needed, then he used a wireless keyboard and mouse. I will try to find the pics again. Hope that helps and Good Luck!

Also if you did something like that, just make sure you have good air flow.
