I just got $70 and I am looking into adding ram to my computer. I was wondering if I had DDR2 and my clock is 4,4,4,12 If im able to put this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145590) In my computer I cant for the life figure out what the voltage is from CPUz. I this would me a huge jump from 512mb to 2gb.

What motherboard are you using?

For voltage the only way to see it is through the BIOS unless your motherboard came with some software to read values.

CPUz should say if you have DDR or DDR2

The stock voltage for the DDR2 is 1.8v however this is at speeds of DDR2-667 or lower. Your ram is currently only running at DDR2-400. The ram you intend to buy is DDR2-800. You would need to tweak the bios and maybe overclock your CPU to reach DDR2-800. Either way, you can use that RAM. Just it may not be at a high speed, however it may do a little trick for you, instead of a faster speed, it may use lower timings!

Ha? What about lower timing?

Because your RAM isn't running at it's rated speed, it should be running on 3-3-3-9, however yours is running on 4-4-4-12. It's a little strange.... is your computer built by yourself.

No picked it up from RAM Technology in town. $309.... Dont even start me on the Emachine we had before.... Well what should I do about the timing? And is it not so good for my computer?

It should be done automatically, show screenshots of CPU-Z.

That ram is good stuff. Its what I am running in my system. Corsair was also very speedy with the rebate.

The memory should work if your pc supports DDR2 which it seems it does. If your motherboard can't handle speeds that high it should underclock itself to the correct speed so I don't think you will have any issues with it. For like $40 or whatever they are at now after rebates you cant go wrong, not like what they used to cost 200+.
