10 new TechShops opening in 2008

So has anyone gone to the one in Menlo Park, CA yet? Care to do a review?

There's one opening in Austin which is close enough for a long weekend for me. The concept rocks IMHO.

I have been to the Menlo Park store just for a tour and to see what was offered. I love the idea and may take advantage of it when I build some cabinets later this year.

We, the AustinModders, had been tossing around an idea like this for a loooong time. What we lacked was things like... money, time... you know! ;)

We had been following the concept very closely.... and now that there is one opening in Austin... you can COUNT on the fact we will be there! ;)

At a $100 for a month pass, I know where my vacation time is going to be spent in 2008. :)
