Hi all,

I'm currently doing some Coursework which involves watercooling, however I need some help.

Basically can you reply to this topic by telling me this about your system:

The CPU you're using, it's normal temperature (**), wether it's overclocked or not, how you've cooled it (air / liquid) and if you're using the factory heatsink (if air cooling)

**meaning when you're not playing any games or such that will cause the processor to work harder

Cheers guys, you will help me out loads!

Here's mine for example:

AMD Athlon 64bit 3000+, 34 degrees C, not OC, air, not default factory heatsink

amd athlon thunderbird 1 ghz@1,1ghz, Tt V12@2700rpm, 47c normal(like 70-80% load), 50c 100% load(all day long!).
(btw, these temps seem rather high considering the cooling i offer. but they appeared only after i altered the position of the thermal sensor under the cpu core... basically, it touches the cpu core now, not just hanging in the gap.. so, for you pros out there... is it normal?... before, i had a max of 45c... is it that now the reading is more accurate? or bull i shouldn't trust?)

edit: today i ducted out from the cpu fan to the exhaust, hasn't improved the core speed i dont think, but now i run 28-31 :-)

Intel Pentium D 830 (3.0 GHz x 2) / 50 C idle / no OC / air cooled -- Tt Big Typhoon + Arctic Silver 5

It would be nice if I had some better case cooling. It gets up to 47 C in there sometimes.
