After reading a couple reviews, as well as comparing pictures and technical details, I'm not going to say that this is a true SSF case. It is in the aspect that it can kind of go where others cannot, due to its height compared to tower cases, but it is still a definitely large and even heavy case, despite that its an almost all aluminum case. (aluminum being of course lighter than other materials, like steel.)
So the somewhat misleading chassis type label aside, this case is absolutely gorgeous and, at least in my opinion, a step in the right direction for Nzxt in all aspects. Which is great, because I don't know about you guys, but I'm not feeling too thrilled about some of their past gaming chassis, which are... not really worth mentioning, tbh. ;)
Anyways, I wasn't planning on doing a full review of this case, so I'm not going to do that. I just wanted to "inform" you guys about this case, which I'm totally in love with. I got a little hands on experience from the dude over here where I live that works at our EB store, not too much though, he was a bit hesitant to let a total stranger get physical with his 'puter. I think we all feel that way, so I didn't poke too much. :) But I could definitely tell that the Nzxt Rogue is a really well built, well designed case that looks SO much sexier in person than over an LCD.
My rating, without having owned this case or having any real experience with it;
8.5/10 Golden CPU's
I would of given this awesome chassis a nine out of ten, maybe even higher, but there was a few things I didn't like. Such as the back window, which looks good aesthetically, but not when looking through it, which is the whole point of having a window. All you can really see is the Power Supply, which usually tends to be not all that interesting. The other things that I did not like about this chassis, is that its not really a true SSF, although it is smaller than a tower. But still, its much too large for mATX motherboards only. Also, the weight is a bit much for being a true SFF chassis. At a little over twenty pounds empty, its not exactly something you want to be carrying around a whole lot, such as at lan parties. The good news is, if the weight becomes too much for you, that nice thick aluminum should protect your goodies from being damaged. :)
For a better and more "proper" review of the case, check out the link I've listed above. It goes into much more detail than I have and has some pretty good pictures for those of you who need that visual aspect satisfied. You won't be disappointed, the entire layout of the case, inside and out, is really pretty sweet. Although I would of liked the 3.5" bay to be centered, but thats not really a big issue at all. Oh, I almost forgot to mention one of my other dislikes with this case. Its of course, the price tag. At 170usd shipped, its pretty pricey. I guess if you want the best of the best, you have to pay the price. I would still like to see the price lowered to maybe more around 150usd shipped. (130usd with 20usd s/h)
