Introducing TBCSChat!

Hello ladies and gents!

We have installed an embedded chatroom for you to kick back in and shoot the breeze with each other. Same basic rules apply but otherwise go nuts and have a good time. A HUGE thanks goes out to Ovride for sandbox testing this for us on his own server and providing the software out of his OWN POCKET! Thanks a bunch dude. Anyway, you should be able to enter without having to log in if you are already logged into the forums, and it is open to unregistered visitors in case they would like to jump in and get to know us a little better. You can also find a link to the chatroom embedded in the navbar in each individual forum at the top-right corner just under the page numbers. Any bugs should be posted in the thread sticky'd in the Chatterbox and feel free to post any questions or comments here. Have a good time!

I can install the internet radio quite easily as an addition. We can choose any stations we want and as many as we want to play while chatting. It's cheap enough to try I guess and if it bogs the chatroom down to much we can just pull it. What do you think?

I remember a while back when the idea of a chat was introduced. I remembered the people bitching about why it would be bad or why it would be good. I say that "damn" needs to be uncensored in the chat. I use it far too often.

the IRC channel never got linked to on the front page, so only *real* TBCS-ers know about it. :p

The flash chat sucks IMO. It lags really badly and flash drags my PC to a crawl.
I\ll stick with IRC.

The radio module sucked so I installed the mp3 player for now. It's not mind blowing or anything and the main drawback is that only I can upload music so I guess I'll be taking requests. I did manage to figure out how to remove the timestamp so that little annoyance is gone. File sharing should be enabled so let me know if it doesn't work right, I'm still trying to get it to increase the file size limit.

When I sit there and let it idle behind another window it causes my internet explorer to have and error and close. Is this just my problem? Is there a way I can fix it?

Also, how long does it take? I just tried it for a couple of mintes and didn't happen for me. I don't think the mp3 player works with IE though, I'll have to check on that though.

EDIT- No, the mp3 player is IE compatible. I'm not sure where the problem is coming from but it sounds local.

Over the last year I have put more time and effort into this site that you could possibly know, and I am aware that you don't so I can't blame anyone for that. But I never used to question for a second whether it was worth it or not. I'll have to admit however, after being recently insulted several times, snapped at several times by people who still refuse to give me a reason, and seeing negative comments like these where constructive criticism would have been useful, I have been asking myself a lot lately if it really is worth it. Thanks for the negative feedback and enjoy the irc.

I like the chat personally. Never been into IRC channels much myself, always have issues with them, plus I can use this on whatever computer I'm on without having to set it up on each of them. Please keep it up!
