Some ideas for my first build

So, I decided that I want to build my own comp. As I am a poor college freshman, I probably won't start the build till the summer when I am working again. The up side is that it gives me plenty of time to figure out what I want to do. So far I am not too sure on the internals, having more fun at the moment thinking of the case.

Thinking of making it out of plexiglass, themed around a Bacardi cap:

I am thinking of having the bat wrap around the front of the case, with the wings ending near the back of each side, with the power button being that cap.

So far that is what I am thinking of doing, not too much detail, but it is almost 1am so that can be expected.

I would love any feedback/suggestions, and I will try to go more indepth with my plan as the idea's come to me.

Do you mean you are going to make the whole case out of plexi with the red bat on the front also in plexi or just the bat in plexi?
It would be pretty cool to have a metal case and then put the plexi bat on the front with the wings extending round the sides as windows so you can see into the computer, lit with some red cathodes or leds. Still its a great idea however you decide to do it.
