Ok, My first mod is going to be done one a old Athenatech case I bought for around $30. The sides are made of Steel and It has two plastic bars that run off the front of the case.

Kinda like this

| |-----------| | I plan to paint these two things metallic blue and then put a
| |-----------| | fan controller in.
| |-----------| |
| |-----------| |
| |-----------| |

(This is what the front looks like, (2 5.25 expansion bays, 2 3.5 expansion bays))

What I plan to do, Is one make a window, and from what I hear, Acrylic is very good, cheap and sturdy for making windows. And Use 1 92mm Blue Led Fan with a grill over the back of the I/O panel. And use one 80mm Blue Led interior front exhaust with a grill over it. The case itself has places where you can mount fans, but I don't know if I should make a window?

Also, I have a Dremel which I heard is good for cutting steel and such. Do you think that will do a good job making a window?

Also Is there a good place to buy Acrylic?

Thanks,
Chris

Estreet plastics seems to have a very good selection of different acrylics, including tinted and colored acrylics. http://www.estreetplastics.com/

There is also a list of suppliers (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/modwiki/index.php/List_Of_Suppliers#Plexi.2FPlastics) in the wiki.

The Dremel should work, just keep in mind that if you are cutting plastic you may want to use a lower RPM so that you cut it instead of melting it.

When cutting the metal of the case, you need to use diamond cutting wheels as others will get you nowhere. Have a look at this dremel tutorial (http://www.mnpctech.com/Dremel.html), its what i first used to learn how to cut some blowholes and a windows.
