The Red Block O's in the picture, as well as the S and the U, will
all be red plexi. The gray behind the OSU will be mesh. And the
Brutus will be painted on silver (that's the only picture of it i had).
Im not sure what the letters will be (maybe plexi) but thats all i got
for now.

Update 2.1 - 1/4/08
:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(
This is a very small and tragic update. While practicing for his cuts
in "The Ohio State Mod", Dremel Mandrel 402 broke his neck (screw)
severely. Unfortunately, Mr. Mandrel died on the scene. A replacement
for Mr. Mandrel 402 is currently being looked for. His twin brother, Mr.
Mandrel 402 is the primary candidate. No further work or rehearsals
for the Ohio State Mod will be held until a replacement is found (bought).
Thank you for your support,
Mr. DeltaZion469

You can clearly see the screw broken off screw in the 426 cutting wheel.
The mod is officially on hold now until after I get back from the National Championship in New Orleans and until i get a new mandrel. Go Bucks!!!

Update 2.2
Hey guys, it's me, DZ469, back from New Orleans and I'm here to
bring you the next big thing in the OSU 900 mod project. With me
I have a few pics of a side project I am working on as practice for
the real thing: cutting the case. Have a look:

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/DZ469/Recovery-TheInterlude005.jpg
What is it? Only I know! Whoever guesses what these parts will become
gets free +rep on me (if allowed).
**HINTS**
-The two parts will go together.
-Holes will be drilled
-It's not finished (duh)
Oh yeah and i have good news to report:
I GOT NEW MANDRELS FOR MY DREMEL!!! WOOHOO!!! :D:D:D
That's how i finished cutting up the side project.
http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/DZ469/Recovery-TheInterlude006.jpg
(Only one is shown. The other was used already)
Well, that's all I have right now. Hope you enjoy it!

Update 2.3
Well guys, this isn't much of an update, but i got to drilling holes on the
mystery practice piece and i found out that i really suck at drilling holes.
They're all uneven and stuff and the screws are too big, which means I'll
have to get a bigger bit. Of course thats why I am practicing so whatever.
Sorry I haven't gotten to the big project I just want to make sure I don't
screw up a really nice case.
Cya later.

Update 3
Well, I guess this isnt much of an update but I actually got something
involved with the actual mod done: I measured the panel and drew up
lines for me to cut on.
Some pics to keep you happy:
http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/DZ469/DSC_0188.jpg
The Panel marked up and awaiting the inevitable day when it will be cut
http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/DZ469/DSC_0189.jpg
A close up of one of the corners. Yay lines :D
And some pics of my desk:
http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/DZ469/DSC_0191.jpg
My current setup (Like my motivational sayings? They dont really work, but
it's the thought that counts right?)
http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/DZ469/DSC_0190.jpg
My baby, that i built with my own hands. w00t hardware!!!
Im still working up the courage to cut this case. It's just so nice and with
this it's like if i screw up i wasted a lot of money and ruined a good case.
But Ill get over it... eventually...
Until Next Time

Update 4
So I actually got some real progress done on this project. Yay!!!
I got up the courage to cut the panel for the window. Without
further ado, the pictures:
http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/DZ469/DSC_0188-1.jpg
The side panel on the surgery table, awaiting the knife (dremel)
http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/DZ469/DSC_0189-1.jpg
After about an hour of cutting (yes, it really took that long [i think]), the panel's surgery is a rousing success. Now, all that's left is to spend hours to file down the very rough edges.
http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/DZ469/DSC_0191-1.jpg
Of course, being an idiot i didnt wear gloves and as soon as i began filing, i cut a nice slice out of my finger. What's a mod without the sacrificial blood?
http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/DZ469/DSC_0190-1.jpg
This was what was left from the cutting. That is a LOT of metal dust!
So that's what i got done today. One question before i leave is: What is the best way to file down rough edges? I kinda dont want to spend 100 hours filing down edges, so any help would be good. Thanks.

Update 4.1
Ok well today i spent a nice hour and a half filing down the edges of the
window and it looks better than before. Now i just have to cut the mesh
to size and then find someone who has a drill press that i can use. Maybe
the shop teacher at my school will let me use theirs. Thought you guys
might like to know. Cya.

Update 5
Well, I got a little bit of work done after school today. Got the mesh
cut out and fitted to the window. It's not attached yet. I have to use
the drill press at school and drill out the holes. I didn't get any in progress
photos, but here is the end result.

Fitted in the case
http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/DZ469/DSC_0201.jpg
That's it for now. I might get the holes drilled out on Friday, depending on
whether I go with my family to Pittsburgh. Cheers.
