Why not run multiple servers on them. Cod4, bf2142,Team Fortress 2, and make a server empire! :P

You can have all the servers set up on their and only run the one you want to run at the time. That way its an all in one game server, and you just choose the one you want to play.

Run a BF2 server. Also if you want to run an mmo server you can run a private wow server.

Isn't that technically illegal though?

Ive played around with quite a few different servers, but this is probably a touchy subject for a site like this so I'd probably stick to talking about regular game servers if I were you guys. Not reverse engineered/re written servers.

Maybe you could host the TBCS Bf2 server?

It is not illegal lol. It is just against blizzards TOS.

It is a gray area though, least I would think based on other things that were given the red light here.

I have played around with one and had one running for my brothers to play on for a while. Nothing in the client is changed, less you do it yourself or download something. They just write their own server code and people make the databases for the mobs and drops and such.

But I don't know how the mods look at this topic because it is quite a gray area. If its given the green light I can be very helpful on this topic, if not then my mouth is closed.

Edit: Just looked at who posted. Simon is a mod... I will refrain from posting anything else until he or someone else chimes in though.

or just PM them.

The reason for "not talking about illegal activity" is so Paul can't be held accountable for anything. (Isn't that ****ing ridiculous that he can get in trouble for something other people are talking about?) That and so people against it don't cause a fuss on the forums by trying to force their morals and beliefs on others. It's a great rule system, just some people take it like they can't talk about it period to other members of this society which I don't understand.

If you PM them, E-mail them, IM them, it doesn't matter. "God only knows" how many "crimes" are committed by members of this forum in their private life.

Spot on. Welll, actually, I'm not sure if Paul will get in trouble (he probably would though) but the bigger reason (IMO) is the loss of traffic. If new visitors come here and see that we "promote" illegal wrong-doings (I " " promote because even though TBCS doesn't, it looks like it to other people) they could possibly leave, and tell their friends not to come here, and the chain goes on...

I LOL'ed really hard at the last part. I know some of the "illegal" things the members do (I mean really, when people post Desktop shots with folders named "Photoshop.CS2.Ful..." it makes you wonder) and it is pretty funny how many people break the law on a regular basis. And with that being said...

End of that discussion.

Back on topic: BF2 would be my vote. A lot of people have it here, and it is a great game. Otherwise, I've got something I'm working on that might help you out. Look soon for it.

Well, I remember not too long ago, an online store (something like newegg) got sued because in a customer review, the reviewer said something negative about another online store, or brand...something to that affect.
