I want one but not if it's the price of four monitors to the fourth power... to hell with that, lol. It's especially gonna be expensive because it's Alienware to begin with, lol.

Seems everyone thinks Alienware did this and no one else.

NEC have also gone and made with with pretty much the same specs NEC = cheaper than Alienware.

But its bloody huge, why cant they just bend some LCD film...

Oh and Alienwares rough pricing information?

""more than a 17-inch flat panel and less than a Kia.""

yeah those setups are sweet and a bit older but there is a big difference, the alienware is one panel which is curved for the first time which eliminates the lines from monitor edges breaking the screen. Still a damn nice setup though.

I hope my next upgrade in a decent quality monitor. They've come so far since they first came out. The price has droped dramaticly enough for me to ditch my two 17" CRT's for a LCD or two. Thoes responce times on the NEC & Alienware are now that i think of it; remarkable. The lowest i've seen for a standard monitor is 2ms. However, thoes are still in the $400+ range.

Does anyone know if or what the responce time of a CRT is? I would imagine since its an analog signal that it would be almost instant. Allthough im probly wrong.:)

CRT monitors are pretty much instant with refresh times.

All i really want is a 3 19's in a row without the panel in between them. It looks like they've done that with this one (or somewhat close to it). The question, what games work will work with extra widescreen? what about a monitor that curves all the way around you, so peripheral vision can come into play?

This will turn into a game-pod, which will be totally awesome.

The funny thing is that I have seen something like that before lol. The only difference with your idea is that it wasn't a full cylinder, only 2/3s or one, the screens were also about 1-1.5m high. Oh and it had an awesome chair with a little table built onto the front and built in speakers. Totally Awesome.
