Project: Quad 88

Hi everyone!

This is going to be my first casemod project on a english website :D

(so be nice about my english ok? ;))

For this casemod i will be using a brand spanking new "Cooler Master 690"

Yes i know.. cablemanagement.. well these photo's were taken while i was still waiting for my Quadcore processor and i really couldn't be bothered doing it. But i promise it'll be tidy by the time i'm done with this casemod

Next is a fan controller design i did. I'll propably never use it and just buy one of those old zalman fan controllers :D They are really easy to mod i think. You'll see what i am talking about in a couple of days!

Alright first update :D

Here i am going to show you guys what kind of idea's i have for the window and everything else. These ideas might change every hour since that's how crazy i am

Ok so don't laugh at my mad designing skills

Things that are CERTAINLY going to happen to my case:

- Dvd player Stealth Mod

- Sidewindow with a nice acrylic thingie.. not sure what (you'll see ;))

- Radzgrill sort of thingie on top, not sure how to explain otherwise but it doesn't mean i'm going to use radzgrillz (although it would be nice)

- Paint the case black on the inside and make a fake roof on the inside (acrylic) to hide all the extra cables.. Why didn't i buy a modulair powersupply :??

- Stealthing the areas around the motherboard which will make it look like it's hovering in the air

So the sidewindow is in and i stealthed the dvd-rom player

Looks very nice so far.
I just got the exact same case.
I love the design of it.
You should think about taking the coolmaster logo off the front, unless you like it. It is basically just a sticker and comes off very easily.

I will be watchin this one.

No it isn't heavy at all :D

My Cooler Master Ammo 533 was way heavier then this one. I find it excellent for lan parties :banana:

Today i was thinking about what kind of hardware i want in my pc. This is actually really tough. I am going to save a lot of money but like it says at the end of my wishlist: it'll propably stay a wishlist :oops:

Today i'm going to pick up some black paint for the inside of the case and i ordered some blue acrylic and a nice fan controller which i'm going to mod.

I also have plans for the inside of the roof (as in making the stealth roof to hide some cables)

Yes it is very expensive. So or i should save my ass off or get some help ;)

btw, i am going to stealth my card reader just like i did with my dvd-rom player. Except this WILL have some holes (square slots) in it to put the cards in ;)

what you could do to make your dream come true cheaper would be get the quadcore QX6600 witch is cheaper and then overclock it and the grafic card get the normal with fan and buy the waterblock apart your hole system would be around 800-900£ this way you will save some £ or $ i am gathering some £ for a similar rig

The flames looking thingie is already IN the case so i thought it might look cool!

Ow and yeah it isn't a FAN but 2 ccfl's which i took out of their casings and put there as you can see on the next photo:

After that i threw out the acrylic in my current sidepanel window and drew some parts on the acrylic i got from acryan
