My resent purchase of my Jeep Grand Cherokee inspired me to start
a case Mod to look similiar. Heres my front sketch.

The case that I am using was from my first build 4 years ago.
It was a 750mhz AMD 128 RAM, to embaraced to tell the Rest.

I already took out alot of the crud, and the front bezel. So the next
step is to pul her apart. Hence the drilling of rivets! :D

So then I made sure that I could pull it apart.

Time to start fabrication!

My first order of business is make all the outside skin! The
Side panels are there(need fab, but there) so I need to make
a new front bezel.

First I got a piece of metal at sized it to the front of the case.

Then I put a small curve in it, so that it was raised from the front of the case.

Then I just mixed upsome real toxic stuff, laid down a sheet of composite and
FoRmEd it around the metal that I already bent! I then repeated 2 more times. Finishing product was this, now I just need to cut and sand!

I am trying to find Plexiglass. I have tried everywhere, except auto glass
places. I need it for the mother board mount plate, side window and many
other cool places. Until I find some I will have to work with all the metals.

EDIT:

Any ideas Were I could find some?

it has a special look... very nice and fitting to the theme... also, i really wanna see what the finished product will look like and how it will "purr".

some Qs: the analog dials... what will they be connected to? will you cut the metal in the fan holes or leave it be? any paint job for the chasis?

plexi... depends where you are... if you are in the US, than there are plenty of places to find it... i'm not from the US... :( ... try performance-pcs.com .. that's all that comes into mind right now... or ask the guys using lots of it.. like defyant or tribal.. (they very cool)

So I started sand the front bezel. The compound that used made the
composite VERY HARD. I was sanding for almost 2 hours but here they are.

Hey guys I am going to hold off on posting the rest of my worklog here
until I have finished...

I have enrolled this case mod in a competition and I found out that one of
the rules is that you cant post your mod anywere until the judging is done...

After December 1st I will post the rest...

Once again sorry for that...
