How the hell did you manage to swing for an outside door from your room. Looks sweet though, wish we put Ethernet in our new addition, I'd post pics of that but lappy with them on it died :(.

Lol,idk. Thx, My dad almost was going to let me go wireless but he saw Neweggs prices and said why not go Direct. That 100ft cable, the reviews are right on new egg, it has a mind of it own, tangles very easy.
Im pretty happy with the progress My dad and I did so far, he wants to be done in Mid-April, because in May he starts his outside chores, like planting(we have 3 gardens:dead: ) and shed work, and the basic landscape.
My dad didnt do the Electric or Plumbing: My cuz did the plumbing and an electrician that my dad knew when he was in construction did the electric work.

Awesome, AB. I know a few people who could use that. But the question is, how do you go about looking for something like that in the first place?

I get a catalog from the Duluth trading company and have given the "crack spackle" shirt to a couple of friends for gifts...
When searching for the link for the shirt, I found the video. Made me laugh!
Nice basement btw. Are you helping with the construction?

Ya its My Dad and I who do most of the construction(my mom helped with sheet rocking the ceilings)(and my sister helped take up the old tiles)
That crack spackle,my cuzin could of used that when he was doing the plumbing, lol
Sisters room is almost sheet rocked, my dad did alot today, i wasnt there i was making 15 pounds of salami and 15 pounts of supersad with my cuzin who helped us with the plumbing.
Also figured out what were doing with baseboard in the living room, he came over 2night and planned it all out.
More pics coming.

Man, this project reminds me of helping my parents with their remodel. Looks like you're making some good progress. But it just feels like you're working harder and less is getting done, doesn't it? I hate mudding and dealing with drywall as a whole. That fine sheet rock dust gets everywhere.

lol.
I think were looking beginning of May to be finish. My dad hired a spakler , he didn't want to but it will cut some time down since he will never be able to finish in a week like the worker because my dad works full time and doesn't have all day to work on the basement.
Around 110 boards= hes charging $1200
He said the sheetrocking job was very nice better than union workers.

I think it looks great. That one door looks out of place with all of the nice wooden accent pieces. Did you carpet the stairs yourself? It looks really nice. Great job so far. Can't wait to see it finished.
