Hi guys, after years of putting up with Best Buy bought computers, I finally decided to build my own. While looking for info on what to get I came across this site and the mods people have done...that got some wheels turning :) My first question though if more about fans and the PSUs that power them. I currently have 2 80mm, 1 90mm case fans and a 92mm CPU fan running off my 400w PS. I want to add 1 more 80mm to the side mount and a 120mm in the unused 5.25 bays. Will the PS handle then extra fans?

Thanks

Welcome!!!!

i think thats pretty much how i found this site and now look at me :)
we shall need your full specs to decide if that psu can handle it or not. being that you only want to add 2 more fans i am inclined to say yes, but again we need the full specs of the system , including brands.

Yeah, I don't think fans draw more than a few watts of power. Now, if it were say, a new graphics card, that would be a different story, but you should be fine with 2 fans.

Welcome to the forums man .

Welcome. As the others have said it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Its only likley to be a few watts, to be perfectly honest you would need to see the whole system but if its running fine at the moment 2 fans shouldn't hurt it.

Welcome to the forums.

Guessing I would say yes.

However, much like everyone else here is feeling, we need to see more system specs.

Wow, thanks for all the replies, I was not expecting so many so fast based of other forums I am on :)

I updated my system specs drop down to show what I have now, if you need any other info let me know. It sounds like I will get the fans and try them out, I just wanted to check before I did.

Thanks again!
