I've added a drop down menu in the postbit_legacy for system specs. It's optional but I'm entertaining the thought of making it mandatory while registering. It breaks down the PC into diff components so the user can fill in which CPU, RAM, motherboard, etc.. they have. My intentions for this is when someone asks a question about a problem they are having, rather than the usual "what are your specs?" question that usually follows, the member can simply pull down the menu of the person having trouble and see what their specs are before trying to come up with an answer. I think it will be a very useful device but I don't like how it stretched the header vertically. I'm going to try to change some settings to adjust this but if I can't I may just move it.
To enter you specs, click on the userCP link on the right sidebar while logged into the forums. Then under "options & settings" menu choose "edit options". Toward the bottom of this page you will start seing fields for each PC component. Then, you will find the menus under your rep bars (at least unless I move them). Help me give this s good test run by filling this in if you wouldn't mind. Thanks folks.

Great idea, but what about those of us who have multiple systems?

I suppose just state the specs for ur other system, and just enter the specs for your main.

Just use your primary PC stats in the specs box. If you ask a question regarding another system you can just list those specs in the question. You may want to save a text doc of each of your system specs so you can just insert it into the questions.
EDIT-Greco is ahead of me as usual.

Dang Jon what is running two 1900xt's in crossfire like? How much of a performance gain do you see over running just one card?

Some folks might post their desired system specs instead of their real specs, especially if they're using a really old almost obsolete system. I'd leave it optional just to keep most people honest.

Now Jon, stop upgrading the forum for a week or so, I dont want you to have a burnout. :)

I look forward to the many questions throughout the forums about a person's specs.
