250gb Seagate hd $69.97 Pretty good deal (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=1265028&sku=THD-250A&CMP=ILC-FPM06)

Not a good performance HD but still a good storage for movies and games storage.

I have bought some small stuff from them, mostly cables and adapters nothing big. I have not had any problems yet. They do send a lot of emails after you buy.

i feel tiger direct is very reliable, my grandpa has been purchasing products from them since before the internet, and hes never had a problem, infact i own a tiger direct pc, which i use for dv editing.

I was about to buy this, but then I saw a mail-in rebate! Screw that!

dude, mail in rebates aren't that bad. You just need to send them in... it isn't that hard. And for $50 I would spend 10 cents on postage. Tigerdirect is not bad at all. I have bought a vid card from them and it still works. Along with a few other things.

Oh sweet, I'm going to get this and upgrade my file storage PC, upgrade from 13 gigs. HAHA! This will rock, even if its not that high preformance, I personally don;t like SATA, I've had bad experiences.

just ordered one of these last night. Then I borked my friends comp that I am borrowing -_-. Gave him a crack he scanned it for viruses and there was nothing. Installed it and it installed like 40 new visible tasks. This comp is now adware infected -_-.

so, use Microsoft Antispyware, or Adaware, or Spybot, or an antivirus, that should remove everything.

doesn't work -_- ran lavasoft ad aware but when it starts searching my comp shuts down. And any file that isn't in a compressed file I can't dl. Because i cannot save anymore. The prog makes it so I cannot save files only open them.

did you try exiting all those extra tasks using the task bar and then running ad-aware or other programs to try and get rid of the files?

well... I deleted the tasks via the task manager. Then proceeded download a mirad of anti virus/spyware/adware programs via a friends computer. So I ran virus scans, adware scans, and spyware scans all night. Well I eliminated most of it but still about every ten minutes a window will pop up and my computer seems highly preoccupied. Once it get programs running they run normally but while opening them it is quite sluggish. ex. firefox used to open instantly now it takes like 3-5 seconds to open. I think I might reformat soon :/.

HD ARRIVED TODAY! I th8ink what I am going to do is remove the 60gb I have, instll windows on my 80gb. Then slave the 250gb. Cause sadly this crappy ass compaq case only has room for 2 hds.
