I noticed today my internet was running at 4,500kb/s as opposed to 20,000+kb/s... I wasn't downloading, and neither was the laptop so I assumed someone was leaching. I changed the WEP64 pw from 5didget to WEB128 13 digit... the laptop would not connect...? WEP64 will only accept "abc" so it's difficult to make a SECURE pw.
