It's a decent little game, especially for free. Ideal for gamerscore whores or just people that like free things (me).

Does XBL have free things like this often? I'll be getting my 360 pretty soon (maybe even order today if I play my cards right) and XBL is starting to look more and more worth the $4.50ish a month.

Generally speaking: No.

They don't hand out free games and such. But there are tons of demo's and arcade demo's you can download. Some of the demo's are very long and have a decent amount of content to them. You could easily spend a week playing only demo's and not get bored. Great thing to do if you dont have cash on you and are bored of the games you have.

They gave away Undertow officially as a thank you to the customers of Xbox live for supporting them. Unofficially it was because of the intermittent downtime XBL had like a month ago.

Personally I didn't have any issues with XBL for more than an hour. But hey a free game is a free game. And its pretty decent for being free at that.

XBL is definitely worth the price. The rarely give away free games but it comes every now and then... the hard part is finding out about it.
