Hey, I need to fill up 2 holes in the front of my case. It is where the old power and restart buttons were. I want to fill them, then sand them down so it looks like they were never there, and then finally paint over it. What can I use to do this?

Bondo.

The stuff they use on car repairs and stuff.

if if there is a big hole like a fan sized one i would get some mesh and make it just a bit bigger than the whole and melt it into the back of the plastic but only halfway into it. then put some bondo over it on a flat surface and sand it smooth after. the mesh will give it strength. but if its just a small hole like a power or reset it should be fine.

+rep tinker for helping out.

Marine Epoxy should work for small holes like that. Mix it up and smush it in the hole and spread it out. Sands easily with low grit sand paper.

If its a larger hole, I have used "fly-screen mesh " material as a strengthener
(is strengthener a word ? )
using "bondo" (we call it "bog" in Australia) as a reinforcment, much the same as concreters use "reo mesh".
seems to work, and helps stop cracking on larger surfaces.
