OK since you guys brought it up (kind of...) here is my rant for the day;

I had scheduled my days off several months ago. My company gives everyone a floater vacation day for use on your birthday only (or the day before or after if it falls on a weekend). I sent out emails when I put it on the vacation calendar and once a week as a reminder and then again on Friday morning as a reminder. Every person in the company acted like it was a big surprise and how dare I take 2 days off without at least a months notice... WTF? I referred them to the company vacation calendar which shows when the dates were added. OK they got over it.

I come in this morning and my beloved co-workers have stockpiled work for me to take care of be cause "They did not know how to do it". ARGH! Merry fricken' birthday! Now I am trying to get through the carts full of systems, the stack of paper work and the systems that they DID work on and every one of the intel servers they touched have to be re-worked. One guy even plugged the ports of the add on raid card directly into the sata ports on the motherboard and was in the process of RMA'ing the card because it did not work !?!?!?! The onboard raid controller was still plugged into the drive backplane...

I work with idiots... The sad thing is, these guys work on SUN and SGI servers and workstations all day long....

Now it is going to take me the rest of the week to catch up from taking 2 days off. I cannot not even go to my manager about this issue, because he caused part of the problem and wants me to fix all of his F*** ups!

The sales guys are screaming at me (they avoid talking with my manager because he just pisses them off) because nothing is going to ship until it gets fixed. I just sent them an email to work it out between themselves as to the order priority. Even if it takes boxing gloves.

OK thanks for reading my rant... Back to your regularly scheduled modding...

Wow, that time of year already? I nearly missed my dad's Birthday, which is today, because I've been so wrapped up in stuff. Happy birthday dude, I would have sent a card if I were more on top of things.
