I guess G4 ditched the Screen Savers name and relaunched using the new name, "Attack of the Show" Anyway, I'll be on the show live Wednesday 3/30 at 4:PM central, 7 Eastern.

hmm . . . interesting. A name change and more featured technical specialists like yourself is always a good thing. Now, to get cable . . .

Santa Monica is very nice--I think I've been here before..hmm...maybe in the 80's I dont remember really...gah!..anyway the weather is amazing--went for a walk along the beach--saw a couple baywatch type honeys on an ATV-- :D

I'll be over at the studio later on to unpack/setup the Boblbee and JuJjube case mods to talk about on the show. Simple mods technically, but both were fun to make nonetheless.

time to go look for more girls on the beach ;)

I just caught the episode and i really liked the mod with the door jam front panel :) Was that metallic gold paint on the front of that? Both were excellent mods.

Cheers

I believe he used anodizing paint. Duplicolor offers a whole line of paints that give an anodized look. His mechaniqe case was done using the same stuff only in red.

The show was good but they should have given Paul more time. And I missed the first couple minutes, I switched channel because of the stupid commercials and I was a little late too:( oh well, the Modders Workshop will be longer :D

I think Paul did well as usual. The mods looked good, but it did seem they were rushing him a bit. Seems like they could drop some of the cheesy chit with the girl on the couch and allow more time for the Guests to speak.

Frakk

yeah i agree. those two monkeys talk about bunch of insignificant stuff noone cares about. And when it comes to such an important matter like MODDING, they F it all up and rush the ones who could actually say something intellectual :)

I caught a previous episode, I agree they have big mouths, but what can ya do. Pauls JuJubee front panel was Duplicolor Metalflake if I remember correctly

EDIT:
Just caught the show (I taped it for ya Paul) Man you guys are right they rushed him pretty badly. An hour long show and a big portion of it was the hosts babbling amongst themselves about topics completely unrelated to anything at hand. The problem is they have no competition. That should change very very soon.

Sup man, nice job on the show for what they gave you to work with. Seems the new hosts are a bit unaware of their guests. Yoshi and Pat were a lot more enjoyable to watch and work with. Mods looked tight and congrats for making it on again! New site looks tight too.

Yea, I saw that show too, also is why I came here, Crimson great page redesign too. I need a new modding forum to hang in since pimpedoutcases.net is dieing :(

Also they killed you on that question, need better people to screen the call, overall I guess it look like it went well for ya.

Hopefully I can help some of you out as I helped people there. Most of you prob won't know me, as I'm a modder that was sort of only at POC.net
I’ve been there soooo long, whish I had the time to take it over from Jay and Chris… I’m way to busy to run a major webpage again.

Hope to see everyone around.

Hello all!

Brian from TheTechLounge here (Hey Terry, Paul and Grunt!). Saw the show Paul, great job, but like everyone else is saying, they should have given you more time. Your mods are a little more interesting then their chit-chat :-P

Guttenaffe, I am friends with Chris from POC. Sucks that POC died. Nice to meet you all.

:) Yup im hiding out in the corner. Im glad you all agreed with me about the chit chit. Seems like that show doesnt have too much to talk about really. Then they actually get something worth talking about and they cut it short. This is the first time I watched it and maybe Im a little biased, but damn...

I would have loved to have seen this, but sadly I cancelled TechTV after G4 took over and destroyed a lot of the good things about it.

I'm back!---

I had a GREAT time---I know the show has had a bumpy ride in the last few months, but I commend them on keeping the torch lit so to speak. The cast and crew are top-notch--they love their work and it shows. Its pretty hard doing a live TV show everyday--really challanging, and time is very limited. My thanks go out to them, to the producer David Prager, and everyone who watched the show!. Thanks Folks!

Anyway here are a few shots from my trip. I stumbled upon a great cigar shop in Santa Monica around the corner from the Georgian Hotel (very nice btw)where G4 put me up.

Lone Wolf Cigar Company--started by James Belushi and Chuck Norris, now privately owned--Me in a relaxed mood here :)

Wednesday night, a bunch of guys came in for a stogie after their meeting at the Masonic lodge--very nice folks

I met a regular at Lonewolf named Victor--we shared some good talk, a fine cigar and then went to Tommy's for a burger. Victor is one of the smartest, kindest people I think I've ever met. Doesnt he look like a smaller version of "Big Pussy"? This is us in a Soprano's moment:

Picked up in style, here is my ride to the G4 studios. Warren was a great driver, took me on the scenic route:

Great stuff on G4! I watch Attack of the Show regularly and I would have to say that your mods were some of the best things on there in a while, well your mods and the giant Nintendo controller :D

I've been looking for a case modding site with a lot to offer and this seems to be the one. So far the only "mod" I have done was make a case out of Legos, this has since fallen appart and awaits restoration ;)

For those of you who haven't seen the episode or do not get TechTV a [H] member was kind enough to host it on his server. It's available here. (http://www.slackerserver.com/hardforum/AOTS_0330_2005.avi)

From those pictures, I know EXACTLY where that is (I do live in LA)

LA is a lot of fun if you know where to go and what to do....there's a lot of semi-hidden things that you have to look for to find, but it's worth it usually.

Fun stuff though...looks like you had a great time.

I saw the show, and I have to be honest, overall the show isn't nearly as good as TSS was. It is a shame. Your part was great, even if it was rushed and you forgot to mention some other modding sites. Did Kyle pay you to pimp [H] so much? :D

Just busting chops man, it is always good to see fellow modders get some recognition and the community as a whole as well. It is because of the work of people like you that more and more people don't give me stupid looks when I tell them I am into case modding. :D

I would have loved to have seen this, but sadly I cancelled TechTV after G4 took over and destroyed a lot of the good things about it.

I didn't cancel it I just stopped watching. I used to watch The Screen Savers everyday. I was a very, very loyal watcher. The one thing that made me happy is that they didn't get rid of Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb on X-Play. I was in shock when I heard that they got rid of Leo Laporte and Patrick Norton. I was so angry. And now they changed the name? They killed off Tech TV the best channel to ever live. :( Don't worry Tech TV your memory will live on in my heart and maybe one day you shall return... Until that day... Down with G4!! :D

:) On a happier note... I missed your G4 apearance. That sucks becuase for the first time in months I would have actually watched G4. Do they still call it G4 Tech TV or is it just G4 now? Any way to watch your apearance online?

I hate to throw gasoline and a can of spraypaint into a fire, but I dislike what they've done. I was most dissipointed with their removal of Yoshi, as he pretty much was the person who made me start modding. However, they did move down to Los Angeles, and to this day I still wear the TSS shirt I got in San Fran (that's a cool story I'll have to tell later)

Your mods were awesome!! I dont know if time flew, but i felt your segment should have been like twice as long. I felt that using a threshold was an awesome idea for the media center.
