My wife is addicted to ebay, and she won't listen to me that people get ripped off like this. That's brutal, but it's funny because it's not me.:D

It's possible... but I'd be wondering because of one thing.... see where it says D-Link and MAC ID?

It was probably a wireless dongle or something first. That's pretty good.

It really aught to be under pictures and links though. ;)

MAC ID in this case means Media Access Control address.

Lol.. one my friend's dads bought a 32gb USB flash drive from Ebay for $150 a couple weeks back, and when he plugged it in, it reported as 32gb, so he thought all was well.

He tried to upload some files to it, and it crapped out, and suddenly it was inaccessible.

Turns out that it's actually a 256mb drive with some trickery applied to it, and that there's a ton of them in circulation. He's unable to get a refund or even get the thing to work at all as a 256mb drive. :(

Here it is!

Lame...

I've also been scammed on eBay. A few times actually. Twice when I was younger buying airsoft guns with money orders... Never got the guns and at the time eBay was much more confusing to try and solve issues. I checked the money order number and it was cashed... called the office of the guy, left messages... well you know how that goes. I was so pissed off at how easy it was do steal people's money I refused to pay for the rest of stuff I won which led to being banned. Since I was banned, I was unable to contact eBay about anything so I made a new account which also got banned because it had similar information!

Nowadays, the last time I was scammed was buying a bargain external enclosure for a 1.8" hdd. The prongs were on the wrong side of the board so when it was plugged in it would slide all the way up to the plug and the case would be flush with the plug. like so:

EDIT:: By the way, here's the enclosure. (http://cgi.ebay.com/1-8-Hard-Drive-HDD-Case-Enclosure-Caddy-for-Toshiba_W0QQitemZ260205827349QQihZ016QQcategoryZ15 0129QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
