I searched a bunch of different variations of the Ibuypower link assuming if anyone were to mention it, they'd include a link...

http://www.ibuypower.com/

Many options for each piece of hardware... not limited like dell, alienware, etc... amazing deals.

Ahh, my friend used them to order his new PC. It was supposed to come in December 23, but instead came 3 weeks later. Had to call their Customer Support multiple times, not getting much help each time. I was at his house too, when it finally came in and while he was taking the speakers out, we heard something moving inside, so we opened the speaker up and the actual speaker was broken and we had to put it back in place, I don't know if it was ibuypower, or just the shipping...

The prices are good though, but be prepared for any kind of inconvenience.

I've heard of them but never really looked into anything. I was pretty shocked at the prices.

Since I don't know any background on your friends rig (box condition, time of year he ordered it, type of speakers) I couldn't really say, but if I were to take a few guesses, it was either:

1) Poor packaging. Things are supposed to be packed to where they withstand some abuse. If the box wasn't damaged then there's a chance it didn't take too much unless dropped perfectly on a flat surface.

2) cheapy speakers... possibly glued or pop-in. Maybe they were broken on the way TO IBP or on the way to your friends house.

3) could have been late because of the time of year. Shipping services can get extremely backed up during the holidays. Either way, some kind of tracking number should have been supplied. If they were out of stock of one or more of his hardware and the items were on backorder... he should have been notified.

Either way, I don't think it's enough to write them off yet for anyone interested. Maybe I'll look for reviews later tonight just to solve this. :)

thatl help you. I just use ibuypower to find out the new cases because they usually stock computers sometimes months before the case comes out =)
