Apature Science Station (PORTAL SPOILER INSIDE)

Today I was re-play Valve's Portal for about the seventh time and I got am idea

After you escape from the incinerator and work your way to the office room there are a bunch of computers sitting around. I want to make one!

I would also paint matching keyboard and mouse

of course i could make it EXACTLY the same (the back part wouldn't work)

but i definatly think it's do-able

It's possible, and shouldn't be too difficult. I was going to do it, but decided I really didn't want an white/orange computer. Someone on another forum was building something like it, but began deviating too much and I haven't been able to find it since. I guess there's supposed to be water cooling in those but I couldn't find any evidence of such in the game. Ether way, I'd like to see someone do this mod.

And you should get a speaker system and make a new sub box that's the companion cube. THAT would own. Figure out the rough dimensions (my guess is a 3ft cube) and make it. It's be an awesome addition.

COmpanion cube woofer for sure, and the each speaker could look like a portal!, like one would be blue and the other orange!

My brother and I have talked about doing that mod. It would be cool if I had the money/time. I would really only take about two weekends to knock out. I want to see it done, but I'm mad at the same time that someone will beat me to it. The sub woofer idea is genius. You could make all the ports on the bottom of the case and then drill a hole in your desk or use the computer on its side. Then add a slot loading drive in the top where the two quarter-domes meet. That way it would look exactly like the game machine from all visible sides.

Great idea.
There are so many things from portal that you could get your ideas.
If done well this could be a great design.

I have an idea, make the cube subwoofer, then play "Still Alive" from the credits really loud to piss of your neighbors(or to scare your neighbors who have actually played the game and knows of its threatening meaning);)
