Entered. ^_^

Man, I hope I win! That would rock so hard core...

...even though I don't have a board that supports that card. I only have PCI and AGP at the moment... lol

But hey, it'll save me money for when I start to build my next rig!

I recently talked with a local company doing some similar give aways and asked them why they only accept entries from the US. They told me the only reason was the import tax issue in the rest of the world. Mainly Europe and Canada. They found it easier to just deal with the US, because in the past when they have done world wide participation, they have gotten in legal trouble even wording it so the winner was responsible for import tax.

It's a shame though that the sender couldn't assume responsibility for the taxes, so the the receiver wouldnt have to pay them.

I've put in some requests for info from DFAIT Canada (Dept Foreign Affairs and Int'l Trade) about import/export taxes, and how we could "pre-pay" so contest winners dont have to deal with them.

Entered... Just like Zephik I too have no mobo that can take the card. But when I get a job and start saving I will start building up and use it if I win.. Or sell for money. Have to pay for college some way.:think:

Good luck to all that entered.

Maybe they should attempt to expand to be an international company... that way all they need to do is get which ever store in that country to send the prize and subsidize that country's store.
