hows it going, as you can see im a NOOB around here. im very into computers, but i've never done any mods. this is something i really want to get into when i have the money and time. im really into music (some of you may reconize my screen name) and i want to make a couple band themed computers, and even a detroit tigers mod (im a huge huge sports fan).

i recently got a few items from ebay to start off with a simple, simple cheap mod

i just got this case from ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=370018069268&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=024

the main reason for getting this besides the good looks, is that my favorate colors are blue and black.

i also got a 80mm rear BLUE Led fan, and duel cold cathose blue tubes.

last night i got one of these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=170189459807&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=007

i plan on doing something cool to the MB Side of the case, because i wont accept having a plain side to my computer. i either want to get some flames that match the colors of the case, a skull, alien or some other kind of logo.
either glued on, or modded on there myself...wouldnt the easiest way be cutting out flames on a peice of foam and going from there?

in the future i will replace the side and top fans for bigger ones

if anyone has any suggestions, thank you in advanced.

just for the heck of it, ill post my system specs

MSI Micro ATX Motherboard
AMD Sempron 1800 (im NOT a pc gamer)
512 MB DDR (im upgrading to 2 gigs soon)
2x80 GB Western Digital Hard Drives
Dvd-rom
Floppy drive (not installing a floppy into new case)
400 Watt ATX PSU (upgrading to at least 600 watt LED PSU soon)

welcome to TBCS dude, glad to have you here. I just wanted to let you know that you can enter your system specs in your personal profile and they will be available in a drop down box under your rep. You can see it on my post.

nah, around here we don't care if you have a computer from the 80's. It's not a contest, it's a community. We are more impressed with creativity than horsepower. The purpose of the system list is not to show off what you have, but when you ask a question someone who wants to help has easy access to your specs to help guide the answer appropriately.

haha you said it!

welcome BTW!

while i mostly game/oc/benchmark i do like all the case modding that goes on here and have lightly modded my case. i have done simple things like void the warranties on my case (paint it black and de riveted it for painted, cut a window out), dvd burner (swapped out the green led for a blue one), cpu (lapped), video card (volt mods), floppy drive (changed out the green led for a blue one). it's simple things like that which make it better than stock but not overly done and can never be touched kinda thing.

I have a friend who has that same case, except his is silver. Be careful of the power button on the front sticking, and if you press too hard, it'll flex the front panel and short against the case, causing a reboot. ;) Easily fixed though. :D
