What to use?

Ok, I am going to start on my first case modding experience. The first question I have is whats the best way to cut out a window in my steel side panel? Is there a dremel bit out there that will work, a cut off wheel, or a jig saw?

I would think the metal is too flimsy for a JS, cut off wheel will be messy, cant find a dremel bit that looks like it will work...lol what should i do?

And then I come back and clean up

Use the jig saw. You will thank yourself later for using that instead of the Dremel. Just make sure you use the right blades for the material you're using.

you can use any of the above suggestions or a dremmel. all depends on what tool you feel more comfortable with (or its availability).

Jigsaw's always a good choice. I use that or, since I don't have any metal blades at the moment, a hacksaw. Be prepared to spend all day with the hacksaw though!

The Dremel will eat through several cutting wheels, even the reinforced kind, for an average window, so I'd advise against it. They're more for smaller jobs, in my opinion.

I personally swear by the dremal, especialy for intriquite cuts. yes you go thrue (on average) of about 3-4 wheels pr window (average size window on a mid tower case) but I love the total control... but that's just my opinion
