Where's the best place to start learning 3D stuff?

Ok, I've seen enough. I'm so jealous of the quick 3D intros to videos and stuff.

I'm ready to start to delve into the world of 3D logos and animation.

Where in the world do I start?

Just like everyone, I've messed with SketchUp and understand the basics(like what 3D is, but that's it).

I want to learn how to make the animated shorts at the beginning of video clips and stuff. Like animated 3D logos and stuff.

Thanks. I know there are some absolute 3D ninjas around here that can point me in the right direction.

Cinema 4D.

Check Google for tutorials. Once you get the hang of it, you'll find it's pretty easy and doesn't take very much math until you get really into. I took 3D Animation and was making some pretty sweet stuff in a couple of weeks. That was with the teacher... not teaching. He pretty much said "go." and every now and then threw us some printed out tutorials.

I know a place where you can get loads of information on specific 3d modeling programs.... books!

Once you understand the interface and moving in the 3D space, you'll have no problem. That was the hardest transition from learning 3DSM to Blender... 3DSM has buttons and everything for moving, and Blender you just need to know the keyboard shortcuts.

But, something to strive for...
