no i supect its my power supply since the fan stoped working but there is alot of airflow with my big heat sink and 120mm fan right beside it and you can feel the air being pulled through the power supply and the temps are stable im not sure what could be causeing this problem

have

asus p5b
core 2 e6600
evga 8600 gts
4 gigs of ram ddr800 all 1 gig sticks
4 sata hardrives

I'm unsure to the problem. In the bios, please check your temps.

What are the contents of the files that it linked to (C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini021708-01.dmp, C:\Users\scott\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-55317-0.sysdata.xml, and C:\Users\scott\AppData\Local\Temp\WERE5DB.tmp.vers ion.txt)? Something in those should either point you to a failing .dll, or .exe (typically the problem). If everything seems random, then it may be your processor overheating, or memory problems.

Try doing a memtest86+ (http://www.memtest.org/) on it, see if you are having an issue with your memory. You can also try using only one of your sticks of RAM, keep cycling through the sticks until you hit the one that causes the blue screen (then RMA that stick of ram as 99% of all ram is lifetime warranty stuff now days).

ok cpu mb ram hardrive temps are all fine.. the problem was 2 things.. 1 my power supply fan decided to quit... and 2 i bumped my video card and it was only partly pluged in.. moved the monited and pulled on the card and moved it .. seems to be working fine i asume the vista crash was just vidio card and the booting up and just turn off on a cold boot was the power supply as the fan lights were on but the fan wasnt spining..
