I have seen plexiglass where when you shine a light from the back, its seethrough, when no light, mirrored. This is possible with tinting. Can you buy just strait already tinted plexi? Its a black case, and i want to have a case side that you can only see the inside once the computer is turned on. Would a cold cathode produce enough light?

Sounds like Automotive mirror tint to me.

a ccfl should emit enough light and yes, you can buy 2-way mirror plexi.

Bottom 2 items. There has to be more out there on other sites.

Rather than buy mirrored plexi (that link doesn't work, but digging around suggests £46.99 ), I think it would be cheaper to take your piece along to a car window tinting shop and see if they have an off-cut big enough.

AC Ryan make mirror plexi. I used some on the build in sig, as you say its see through
with light behind it but mirrored without light behind it.
