Well, I'm finally stepping into the 21st Century. I got my first LCD monitor last night. I decided on the 22" widescreen Acer P221w. I picked it up at Circuit City for $269.00. Considering this monitor was areound $500 a few months ago, I consider that quite a good price.

What you get in the box:
The monitor (of course)
DVI cable
VGA cable
Power cable
Manual
And a CD containing the users manual, Quick Start Guide, Acrobat Reader, and ADM (Acer eDisplay Management).

Features:
22" widescreen
5ms response time
170 degree viewing area.
2500:1 contrast ratio
1680x1050 max resolution
Glossy frame

My thougts:
This thing is beautiful! Absolutely crystal clear. Quite a step up from the 17" CRT that it replaced. Colors are true, and text is crisp. I do have 2 stuck pixles at the top of the screen that I need to address with Circuit City. I already tried the pencil, massage, and JScreenFix (http://www.jscreenfix.com/) methods.

Bottom line.. I would recommend this monitor to anyone.

That pencil trick worked like a charm for me.. one of my 20's had a stuck pixel, as did one of the latest laptops we got here at work. Both of them are perfectly fine now. :)
