so you have all heard of the modshop right? well i just entered my case (http://www.modshop.net/users/braveheart/rig/war-radio-0) yesterday. and was wondering if you guys wanted to play a little game? well if so this is how we play: you post your rig profile like what i have done^ then you quote the person who posted above and say you voted for them, then they will return the favor and vote for you, and continue till near the end of this month when the contest ends and the winners are announced:D I'll go first.

I think this type of thing was the reason Crimson and many others weren't going to enter in the first place. IMO stop trying to grab votes and just let whomever is voting pick the mod they like the best, and not the he voted for mine so I should vote for him deal.

Where's the honor in winning if it was all a rigged deal to get votes? Just my opinion so just ignore it if it is not to your liking ;)

Granted, a large majority of the mods there are topnotch, but c'mon, work out how many mods a person can have for each set of battles so matchups of the same contender don't happen.

i see your point, rigging is bad, so let's do this: only vote if you like it. it's not like you have to vote if someone votes for you...it's just so that we kinda know who is voting for each other, makes you feel warm and fussy inside:D

it doesn't decrease your chance of winning, theres 8 different prizes thus 8 different winners, so if we all vote for each for the same amount then the lasting factor of who gets a bigger prize is up to the anomalous voters.

But you may be getting votes you may never have gotten by playing a game. Your advertising your mod and getting people to vote for it. If you just had a "If you like my mod vote for me at Modshop" at the beginning or end of your worklog, I am sure that would go over better than advertising/trading your votes.

Your statement above just shows your not in the competition for the love of modding or competing, but simply for the prizes. This isn't to say you don't love modding or competition, as you would not have made such a wonderful mod if you didn't, but right now your looking for votes to win a prize, or trade votes with someone to raise your chances for a bigger prize. Just against my views, but I guess I've never followed the views of the norm. I'll just leave it at that and you can take what you will from it.
