I'm curious because I'm in the market for a new gpu for my current build, and I already made the mistake of getting a crossfire motherboard rather than an sli compatible board. So, I'm considering going with ATI for the crossfire. Any ATI nuts around with some advice?

3850 512MB ASUS Version or the 3870.
Both are good. And you can get both for a good deal. The 3850 is sub 200 i believe.

i would pick up a 3850 or 3870 or 3870 X2. all nice cards for the price you pay and performance you get.

Hmm, ok thanks. I was just browsing the best buy site and noticed this:

I think I might drop 2 of those in.

First off, whoopsy on the mobo, good friend of mine did the same haha.
I'm running an abit aw8d mobo and was doing Crossfire with X1800GTO's a bit back. I've always like ATI, but now only as a single card. I ended selling one of the vid cards because the Crossfire was so picky. Either it runs flawlessly, or horribly. I dug into forums for days trying to figure solutions. Biggest complaint was the ATI drivers werent up to par all the time. Main group was using Omega drivers which still didnt always work so hot. Overall, I've heard the newer NB chipset ATI is using works much better, but only time will tell.

With the cost of shipping and waiting for the cards to arrive, Best Buy is probably worth the $12 premium. That's what I do at least :yellow:.
I've never seen that emote used so that's why I used it :D.
