Anyone bought and played this yet? Or the demo?

Looks like a nice game to get to take around for when I am bored in between classes. Just wondering if anyone here has played it or what you guys think about it.

I guess it is supposed to be the prelude to the one coming out on the PS3.

Went and got my hands on this. Seems pretty good so far. Nothing groundbreaking from the others but seems nice. Looks very good on the psp as well.

Does it play like the one on the PS2 or is it a dumbed down version? The PSP has some pretty amazing capabilities but not everyone utilizes them.

I only made it through about 2/3 of the original on my family's ps2. Tried 2 separate versions on the old fat one I have and neither worked so I haven't finished it, nor started the second.

But from what I remember from the first, it feels virtually identical. Thumbstick moves, square and triangle attack (quick and strong respectively), circle grabs, x jumps. Left trigger blocks, and both triggers in conjunction with each other and/or other buttons do combos and special moves(attacks, dive rolling, etc).

It feels pretty natural playing it on the psp. The psp has never felt ergonomic to me, so i'll always have gripes with the trigger buttons and such, but it feels really nice.

One of the best feeling psp games I have played. Graphics are beautiful. It looks pretty much just like someone took the ps2 and shrunk it onto the smaller screen. The camera is very well handled as well. I haven't had an issue where it got in the way like many other games, which is good as there isn't the other stick on the psp to manipulate the camera.

If you like the God of War games, I don't see how you can be disappointed. My only gripe is that there really isn't anything new. A bit of new storyline, but it all really feels like i've been there and done it before. But, for God of War on the go, you can't go wrong ;)

Perhaps once I finish it I will write up a worthwhile review.

Well I have beaten it already...:(

But it was probably the best or one of the best games I have played on the psp. I hadn't touched the darn thing as the games out were crap and overpriced. This was actually fun and was beautiful on the psp.

And I was wrong above and have realized this playing it now. It is not a prelude to the 3rd one, but a prelude to everything that happens in the 1st and 2nd. When I get some time I'll try to write up a review instead of splurging all my thoughts in a post, but either way, it was a pretty good game. 6-7hours long, so a bit short, but it was nice. Now this thing (psp) is prob gonna be thrown back up on the shelf until Crisis Core comes out in the US.

Hey thanks for the info. I have been looking for a good action adventure for the psp that was worth anything. I have 4 games and I dont really play them much. But I have the original Final Fantasy for it, so I'm pretty set. That game got me really into gaming. Other than that I have Medieval and PQ. I cant remember the name of the other one, but its pretty cool. You're a cop and you drive and shoot and jump from one vehicle to the next. It has some value to it, but it gets kind of repetative.
