Today is a sad day in the nerd kingdom. One of our own has fallen. Any of you who grew up in someones basement pretending to be a spell slinging elf or a hammer wielding dwarf know what I am talking about. Yes, today Gary Gygax died this morning of a heart attack. All I can say is i hope you had the heart attack due to finding that magical item to finish of your horde of items. Today I ask a simple favor. I ask for all the rouges to leave pockets full, warriors to pause killing goblins, clerics and paladins to sit and have a drink with the infidels, barbarians to stop and smell the flowers, bards to stop whoring around, and all dice to stop rolling to mourn the passing. May you always roll 20's in the land of Greyhawk Gary.

My pathology professor in med school actually knew Gygax, I think he even played D&D with him once or twice but I'm not positive. www.pathguy.com (http://www.pathguy.com)

A friend of mine who lived in Wisconsin the 1970's said that he was personally sold a hand made version of D+D by gary when he was 9 years old at Unicorn Games.

Gary was just a clerk at the store at the time.
