CCM's unnamed project

[ClearCaseMan]

In the light of the success of the Hal, I am starting a new project. it will either be a Borg Cube like project or a DeathStar I am undecided at this point, :( I need to dig a little deeper before the design completes in my mind. So I am posting a few pics of the case, that way any ideas offered will help me decide which way to go. This case was donated to me by a customer. Just my luck :)

thats a beast with great potential to be modded! :eek: I'd love to have one of those under my hands :D your design really depends on how much money you want to spend. If I was you with lots of money, Id go with peltiers on the cpu and gpu with a huge rad and big watertanks on the other side, costum length power lines with costum paint matching the theme. Windows on both sides of course. I'd probably put a topnotch parts in it with some hard drives ( 6x200gigs would do ) all lighted up nice :D man that can turn out really sweet.

indeed, i'd go for the death star. not only 'cause star wars rocks and star trek sucks! but because too many people have done borg cube's and i aign't not seen any death stars around!! 3+))

ps:maybe an idea if you do go for the death star. Some blue led's pointing out (so the all point to the same point) and a blue laser pointer (if it exsists) in the middle (also pointing to that same point) to create the effect of the main weapon!

yea borg cubes have been done to death but not to the level i am going to take this,but the true answer is up to the case. the design is already there I am just waiting for it to show itself to me.(if that makes sense to anyone) just like the Hal9000 I didnt design it, the design came to me as I was building it.

Well the person in that pic is my youngest son Who will brobably be the next Crimson Sky "he is incredibly gifted and patient when working on things. as for me I am 36 ish :)

OK, I wont tell you that. since it isn't a projector in the "Hal900003215 er what ever...." it is A Hal9000 and nowhere said otherwise. it even states it is A Hal 9000 in the text and even in the logos in the pictures. Give reading a try next time. But feel free to Jack the idea and good luck with the eye.

Np, if you need help making the lens let me know I will help you out with it. on a side note, I have considered putting a projector in a pc and doing a r2d2 mod, but projectors are real expensive. and have only seen a few guides on making them but havent seen a good one yet.

Yeah, and the smaller they are the more expensive and bigger ones are just big. A R2D2 mod would be amazing though. Putting some kind of robotics in there to make it move would just be sick. I may take you up on how to make that lens. I am building a home theater system for my family and it would be cool to put a projector built in to the system.
