Im Shane c.

Ive always wanted to build my own case. Well I have a reason now.
No one builds Mini-ITX case's, well not what Im wanting anyway.

Im wanting to build a woodcase, but Im wondering about shielding. I dont have $400 just for nibblers. I thought about using mesh but I really dont know anything about building from the ground up. Please forgive this noob.
Also, what would be the bestfot a mobo tray?

Any feedback is welcom?

thanks,
shane c.

I've never scratch built a case, but for your motherboard tray, you could get an old case, and hack the tray out of it.

Not sure how much you are willing to spend, but for $40US, you can get an Ultra MicroFly mATX case from Tigerdirect that has a very nice removable motherboard tray. Probably a little much just for a tray but you can also part out the power switch, the LED's, the 120mm fan, the 80 mm fan, two USB ports, a firewire port and the very nice backlit temperature probe/display.

(I'm using the motherboard tray out of mine for a scratchbuild right now.)
