anyone see it? i just saw it yesterday and loved it. action packed, a little nudity, violence, the whole shebang. some one said on imdb that it was like i am legand, aeon flux, and smotken ace's. (i'm adding resident evil too). but one things bug's me... what the hell goes through peoples mind to bring your (6-11 year old) child to see this movie???? i saw at least 10 children there with there families. i don't get it.

so anyone else see it yet?

Haven't seen it yet, looks like a rental to me. But it could be really good, as for the children aspect. I guess it depends on the kid, but I generally give people who bring kids to movies like that, but in my case it's usually people bringing infants who inevitably squeel and scream during the movie.

RE: Kids at movies...

Back when the South Park movie came out I took the wife to the drive-in to see it (and some other lame ass movie I forced myself to forget). I was absolutely floored at the amount of kids there and it did not phase the parents. If any of you have seen that movie it is definitely NOT for the kiddies.

Just like when I was living in Long Beach. An Australian woman and her young child (maybe 6 or 7) were playing on the beach topless. The lady next to me with her young son (10 at the most) got really indignant and said to her son "...let's get out of here and go to the movies. Rambo should be showing today." Incredible. People are so desensitized to violence that they feel it is better for their kids to watch hundreds of people getting killed violently than it is for them to see even the slightest hint of nudity.

As to the screaming kids in movies;
My brother in law owns several independent theaters (not independent movies though), and 2 of them are the old style with balconies and large stages, and they have the sound proof viewing areas _just_ for screaming kids to be taken.

I personally stopped going to the movies when they started playing commercials before the movie. I mean WTF? I pay money to have someone try to sell me crap I don't want or need? I have a better time at home watching movies.

Here I come thinking this was gonna be a serious discussion about how the world is going to end. :(

Are you talking about Doomsday 2012? If so, i hated the movie with a passion. Every 5 minutes there were odd religious ramblings that made no sence. There was a scene where the girl talked about how non religious she was for 10 frikin minutes then desided to go out of her way on faith and the lord all mighty. I suppose it was the only way to keep this horrible movie plot from an abrupt crash. I realize the movie should have a lot of religious notes and que's but i was blasted by fanatical non sence every few seconds.
And to top of this crap, the movie's conclusion takes place in a myan temple. Yeah, we all know the myans where christans... Give me a break, seriously...

If thats not the movie you were talking about, stay away from the one i am.

Well... seems i was thinking of a diffrent movie. Disregard my rant but keep clear of 2012...

Speaking of kids in movies, when i was young, real young. My mom would call the theartre and tell them that me and my older brother were allowed to see any movie we wanted, unattended. I remember watching robocop with my older brother (by 3 yrs) when i was 5 or 6.
