Hey everybody i just got my first case and i got some strange pieces in my package of nuts/bolts. I dont have any idea what to do with them can anybody give me some insight? There are 3 pieces. one looks like a little metal doughnut almost like a magnet but its not. the next is a small plastic square with 3m adhesive on on the back side and a raised X with what looks like a vent in the middle where the X intersects. the third is a metal tab with one wides about 1mm higher than the other, the lower side has an un-tapped hole the higher side hase a tapped hole that is slightly recessed. if anybody can tell me what to do with those i would greatly appreciate it. thanks

I have no idea but a case name/model would be appreciated. Also did it come with any sort of paperwork/instructions or a manual or online place to ask the question?

and pictures would be worth, well a 1000 words.

EDIT: i would say the middle item you talk about is something to do with wire management.

1. Ferrite ring, used to block interference on a wire. Included with most cases, not sure why.

2. Made to be used with a zip tie to hold cables out of the way.

3. Probably part of a security lock for the case door. Gets screwed onto the case, the door goes on, then a lock can be place through keeping the door from being easily removed.

Hey everybody thanks for all your replies Ape its a Cooler Master Centurion 5 case. Widefault thanks for all your help those make perfect sense. Any idea on how to use that ferrite ring? To use the Ferrite ring just place it around the wires that you are having interference issues with.... not really very likely but a possibility. If it is the same as the one that came with my case it is too small to pass a connector through so you would have to remove that in order to pass the cable through the ferrite ring then replace the connector. Like I said not a likely scenario but a remote possibility.

I know the Ferrite ring is used in some laptops to shield the antenna wires for your wifi card. Not really sure what you would use it for in a desktop.
