I've promised you guys these pics for a while now; time to deliver!

I bought headlights, wheels/tires and the flaming horse emblem. Last thing yet to do is install my gauges on the a-pillar, the area next to the windshield. I've got a lot of positive looks and thumbs up from a few people while I was out tonight.

And here's a picture without flash as I was driving; looks pretty sick.

Awesome.

That is a beautiful car. It looks really good with that spoiler, never thought of having a mustang with a tuner-looking spoiler, very good look.

That's mid-nineties isn't it?

I think you need to give us in a nutshell all what you did to it, it looks awesome and I bet drives even better.

Cobra R wing
$27,000 in aftermarket parts, including a twin-screw Supercharger
suspension work
Halo headlights

I can't wait to throw in my gauges.

Awesome.

I took my drivers ed in a 1998 gt. Seriously, drivers ed in a mustang, who knew?

is it a stickshift? i must say im not thrilled with that gen mustang's clutch. but yours looks in great condition

If that's not a stick, I would probably ask myself "Why?".

But there is no way that someone would spend that much on a car and not want to really drive it. Of course it's a stick. It better be a stick. It's a stick, right?

Mitternacht

Haha, of course it's a stick-shift! Where would the thrill of letting 490 horsepower run free be if all I had to do was hold down one pedal?

Quakken

hehehehehehehe 490.

sick. Sick sick sick sick sick.

I'm giggling like a schoolgirl over here. How about you come out to colorado and let me drive?

This mustang is a decent example of some tasteful mods

I wouldn't run that spoiler if it were my car, but silver lips with black spokes on a black car = sexy

I was gonna get rid of the spoiler, but I'm thinking of buying the other Cobra R pieces, like the bumper and hood. If so the wing stays. If I buy the Saleen pieces then i'll buy the S351 wing.

The saleen pieces would look nice. The spoiler you have now is made for a honda, not for a mustang with 490 horsepower.

Aintnothang, that spoiler is actually the one from the SVT 'stang, came factory on the Cobra R

I like how Saleen parts look better though

There's a '07 Roush Stage III 'Stang near my house... sexy as hell.

didnt know you could buy cobra R pieces to fit your body style, unless you plan to do a whole frontend swap?

He probably wouldn't have to do a frontend swap, he could always get the pieces molded to the body.

Or he could just get the Cobra kit from his year. Bear in mind that the Cobra R was a lot more than just the 2002-2004 model years.

Case in point, a '95 Cobra R.

Looks nice! I'll have to look into the headlights for my '02 gt. I really don't like the stock ones.

I also like the black spokes. Nice touch.

Body kits; You can get just about any kit for a mustang. I could even get a front end kit for mine that looks like the newer models.

What kind of meats are you running on your car? I am looking for some new rubber and just hate the fact I am only getting 5k-7k miles on the ones I have been using. And no I do not do burnouts...

Stick vs auto; Auto transmissions are for old people and girls... Little known fact; in the US _most_ cars are sold with an automatic transmission and 99% of rental cars have auto's. In Europe _most_ cars are sold with a standard transmission and 99% of rentals are also stick. Not sure how other countries compare.

They make body kits for the 94-98 stangs that resemble the 2000R.

I bought the headlights on ebay for 140. In the magazines, they're 275.

The wheels are from Americanmuscle.com.

And the rubber I'm using ain't gonna last much longer, haha.
They're 555R's; drag radials. Treadwear rating is 100. $330 a tire; luckily I found them for $250 a piece on Steeda's site.

Personally, I like the SVT/Cobra wing better than that red one. It goes well when you have the other pieces of the kit.

Atleast there are plenty of good looking options for the mustangs, theres nothing good for my SRT, less you opt for cf splitters/diffusers/accents etc, which don't make the car look radically different anyway and cost as much/more than a full makeover/kit for other cars.

I dropped the wing off my car and it looked much better in my opinion, but its back on as I can't stand the holes and the plugs look like ass. Need to find a 2000+ neon trunk lid (silver) without any holes.

Great looking stang as always Mitternacht!

The wing stays. Because of that Cobra R wing, that's how I'm identified apart from the other SN95 Mustangs around here.

Suprised you'd delete the SRT-4 wing. I think it's all right. I have no maor complaints about mine. It provides 400 pounds of downforce, and is kinda in the way when I look in the rearview mirror, but it's not too bad.

That is sexy. That image you posted, midnight. If I had a 'stang I'd do that.

Nice ride man, not a big mustang fan myself but I do think they are good cars. I actually have a set of the '05 up bumper covers in my basement. I like the Cobra R spoiler on that and it will look real good when you get that kit.

Look up your local junkyards, ask around and leave your number with them so if something shows up the week after you talk to them then can let you know. One is bound to turn up sooner or later.
