Long time lurker Cheron (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/member.php?u=7908) has apparently soaked up way to many of the crazy ideas that have crossed the posts in this forum. For some reason he has this insane idea that you don't have to buy a perfectly fine off the shelf case. He also picked some notion that you can use a computer to listen to music, and watch movies on a television. He has gone so far off the deep end the he believes that he can actually fabricate a chasis to hold all kinds of pc gear. But you know what? I think he may be on to something. Project Obsidian (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13322) is Cheron's first attempt at building a scratch built HTPC, but don't let that fool you. From the pictures its all pro. Starting off with a hand drawn set of design plans, he is using sheets of styrene, to mold his vision into reality. If you haven't checked out the insanity, I recommend you get into the forums before someone carts this guy off. Keep up the great work, I know I am anxious for the next update!
