I'm planning on putting together a new HTPC at home built around this motherboard http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16813131237

I'm considering taking apart an old/dead stereo tuner/preamp and using it as the base for the chassis, with some modification it'll fit in nicely with the tv, dvd player, xbox, playstation, etc. I want something that doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.

EDIT

Here's a tentative parts list:

ASUS P5E-VM HDMI LGA 775 Intel G35 HDMI Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - link (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813131237)
ASUS Xonar D2X 7.1 Channels PCI Express Interface Sound Card - link (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16829132005)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - link (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16819115029)
CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - link (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820145034)

Video card, power, and hard drives are not figured out yet. I'll probably toss a pair of Seagate 500g hard drives in it like I used for my new rig. They're quiet and have a lot of space for video. I'm also tinkering with the idea of just running the OS from a thumb drive, freeing up all of the internal drive space for actual files. I found a sunbeam acrylic case that I might use with some serious modding, so we'll see. More as it develops.
