Coke Cola case?

Hey guys, I was just wanting some opinions on an idea I had when I showed my friend the water drop tutorial in the tips and tricks zone. After watching it, he said it reminded him of Coke. This instantly gave me a great idea. After looking at the tutorial and thinking it over; with some pre practice painting, I might be able to buy a somewhat nice case, do some slight modding, and give it a nice red based waterdrop paint job.

And for added touches, I could put a porthole on the side showing the reservoir that is holding glowing red (or go with a standard soda caramel color?) coolant. The reservoir would be clear and circular. The Coca Cola logo would be etched onto the porthole most likely.

Overall the only thing that SHOULD be a struggle for me is if I chose to custom cut some intake fans (if needed). I have NEVER cut plastic or metal with a dremel before.

Opinions and Ideas please.

Sounds like a neat idea. Maybe you could incorporate a coke bottle somehow or bottlecaps.

Oh and practice with the dremel on some scrap material, find plastic and whatnot and get used to how the dremel cuts, then try making holes and cleaning them up to look good.

Yeah, I was also hoping to custom make a reservoir the shape of a coke bottle and maybe do away worth a circular porthole and just have the reservoir as like a custom window, you know what I mean?

Its funny how often I see people make sad faces when a mod is based on a theme that had already had been done.

The thing I find beautiful about art, and more specifically casemodding, is that each person can take the same theme and put a completely different and equally awesome twist on it.

I think your idea sounds awesome. The coke bottle window res sounds wicked.

I've noticed this too, and it even happens here from time to time as well. Granted, sometimes having the ability to say 'I did it first' means a lot, but keep in mind that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
