For 4 years I've been trolling the forums of the modding community and would like to say that here at thebestcasescenario.com, home is what i feel~!-=]...a place i can kick off my shoes and just be irie…i wanted to dedicate this to you wonderful people on the forums, the modding community, mi familia, my RL friends, internet friends and especially my beautiful ®a^ ³N.

It feels like family here and I thought it best that I give back to the community that was one of many key inspirations for me to pick up where I left off…to finally finish my project - my[LIFE] as I call it, in hopes to inspire someone else…i admire all the art here that is tangible, but more importantly it was that intangible, the art of knowing how to do something and apply it to create a piece of art…the answer: thebestcasescenario.com/forums-=]…/clap…now lemme catch you up to the end of Act I *final scene…this is where I left off 4 years ago…....

So this beautiful pc-7 is what I started off with...bo0~!…no OOB (out of box) experience-=Þ…sorry, lol

Interlude

So ends Act I *final scene and I would hang up my dremel for 4 years as I was content…but being content just wasn’t enough for me, thus my life makes a detour…*enter insignia (a world of warcraft guild on the uldum realm)…these guys are some of my best friends and the rest are my bruddahs and sistahs~!...together we’ve built a community where you can be you w/ a government that takes care of itself but more importantly it keeps insignia a happy home /smile…it’s been a great pleasure being the guild master of insignia but I love being everyone’s equal even more so…and with this love comes expression, traverses into inspiration and this inspiration would finally bring me back to drawing board or boards even-=Þ…*enter Act II which would include 4 major mods and numerous small ones to compensate for balance…these will be revealed as soon as the first intermission is over, and I’ve completed the worklog for ACT I…so from here on out my presentation will take a twist in a parallel dimension where the intangible becomes tangible and suspense detours into surprise…so bear w/me for a few posts and you will see this play-out…almost like a “Broadway Musical”, heh…….stay tuned for the next episode of /reroll feat. my[LIFE]

NOTE: most or all of your questions will be answered in coming posts but integrated into my worklog, so ask away and I will do my best to give you the “current” answer but take it with a grain of salt-=]

Rav = me...aka melodramatic, simplyraven, angelsix and seduction

.......con't from Act I *final scene

rav has come online.

[rav]: hi all~!

sparky has gone offline.

kaz has gone offline.

kass has gone offline.

tyn has gone offline.

bacon has gone offline.

[insignia][B]: sups n shiet rav

[insignia][syn]: jeez rav no one wants to talk to you, they just log off everytime you say hi ;P

[insignia][rav]: lmao…stfu…it’s enough I know that I’m not liked, it’s another for my favorite warlock to rub it in my face~!-=Þ

[insignia][syn]: lol

[insignia][thom]: ….i like you rav

[insignia][B]: everyone loves rav…….April Fools fool=P

[insignia][rav]: that’s coming out of pity thom, heh

[insignia][rav]: so you can kindly stfu also-=Þ

[insignia][tre]: lol

[insignia][thom]: pity can be good ;P

[insignia][rav]: I suppose I should embrace it, it’s the only form of love I know…/hug

[insignia][rav]: so I posted my[LIFE] - Act I *final scene today on thebestcasescenario.com (tbcs.com) finally~!

[insignia][tre]: I seen that rav, very impressive…did it take long for you to get to that point?

[insignia][syn]: it’s kewl rav, but it’s not twisted and demonic like I would make my beige box

[insignia][syn]: complete with horns and long draping cape that looks evil instead of this grotesque mudflap…I’ve disabled the graphic so I don’t look so stupid flying around shattrath

[insignia][rav]: thanx tre, if I were to take a guess, I think I prolly sunk 200 hours of thought and work into Act I…it was my first time modding a computer case, but in doing so, i fell in love with this hobby

[insignia][thom]: I know how you feel syn, you should see my helm, it looks like a used condom on my head, hehe

[insignia][syn]: lol

[insignia][tre]: lmao

[insignia][B]: you didn’t just go there thom…roflmao tho

[insignia][rav]: oh my…lol…link it thom

bacon has come online.

[insignia][rav]: wb bacon~!

[insignia][tre]: amazing that there’s still more to come on top of what you revealed so far

[insignia][bacon]: the difference between rav and this case is that people like the case…haha

[insignia][bacon]: j/k rav, nice job tho man /smile

[insignia][rav]: @bacon QFT…lol

[insignia][B]: so what did it cost you to make that window on the side of your case rav?

[insignia][rav]: well, most of the materials I had already…the plexi I had to pay for, but that was inexpensive since my local plastic shop has a scrap bin and everything in it is like half off or more…totaled about $20 for the plexi but all the other mods were created using spare parts...perhaps I’ll detail more on cost as I move along

Act I Scene 1

So it begins, the start of my[LIFE] goes into fruition. planning? what’s that? impromtu MOFO's-=Þ

http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/OverklocK/Act%20I%20Scene%201/th_PSP.jpg (http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/OverklocK/Act%20I%20Scene%201/PSP.jpg)

sparky has come online.

[insignia][rav]: hola sparky-=]

[insignia][sparky]: yo rav

[insignia][sparky]: rav, looks like you made a stencil for the side panel cutout and from the PSP(paintshop pro) .jpg, looks like you had pasted 4 sections of it together…any particular reason why buddy?

[insignia][rav]: /sigh…it was a pain brotha, as I really suck at using that program…my scanner only scans 8.5”x11” and the aluminum redbull window plaque I had was wider than 8.5” so I had to scan it twice and mesh it together

[insignia][kaz]: I have a blueprint scanner rav

[insignia][rav]: errr…kaz, you’re in Seatle, it’s more trouble than it’s worth to send you the plaque for scanning

[insignia][kaz]: I was just saying I have one rav, didn’t say I would let you use it

[insignia][rav]: thanx kaz /sarcasim

[insignia][kaz]: btw rav, I have a new xbox360…wanna see it?...you can look at it but you can’t play with it-=Þ

[insignia][rav]: kindly stfu kaz, back in your closet buddy

[insignia][rav]: so once I had the image I wanted to print, my next obstacle was to enlarge it to size…ofcourse it ends up that my printer only prints the same dimensions as my scanner so 4 sections, cutting and taping would take care of that

[insignia][sparky]: why didn’t you just yahoo image it rav?

[insignia][rav]: the internet didn’t have a usable image I could use that didn’t come out pixelated…redbull website is flash and I don’t know how to grab images that way, so I improvised with what I had

http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/OverklocK/Act%20I%20Scene%201/th_P0002245.jpg (http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/OverklocK/Act%20I%20Scene%201/P0002245.jpg)

[insignia][kaz]: looks like you’re protecting something there rav

[insignia][rav]: what’s to protect us from your vicious rhetoric kaz?

http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/OverklocK/Act%20I%20Scene%201/th_P0002246.jpg (http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/OverklocK/Act%20I%20Scene%201/P0002246.jpg)

[insignia][rav]: stencil is laid and 99.9% protected from sharp debris when I cut it out…wo0t~!

[insignia][kaz]: kinda like a trojan?

[insignia][B]: kaz, your mind is in the gutter again

[insignia][kaz]: I’ll take a flight of stairs down and visit you in the hell you call home=P

[insignia][B]: thanx kaz, <3 you too

[insignia][rav]: kiss and make up fools, it’s pvp time~!

Act I Scene 2

rav has come online
rav: hi all~!
[insignia]tre: ravy=)...where ya been?
[insignia]kaz: who's this rav you speak of?
[insignia]tre: you know kaz, the jerk that hasn't signed on for 4weeks to play but makes cameo appearances...some GM he is-=Þ...rav <3
[insignia]kaz: oh, that guy we've been talkinga about castrating because he don't love us anymore=(
[insignia]rav: yes kaz, that's me...been having some romatic interludes with someone other than my GF and Insignia-=Þ
[insignia]sparky: so does the GF know about this significant other rav?...oh wait, i hear threesome =0
[insignia]kaz: doH
[insignia]tre: om!
[insignia]sparky: lol, j/k rav :)
B has come online
[insignia]rav: you guys crack me up, makes me wonder why i stay away from you guys so long....oh, i know why...riddicuel and humiliation...such love=)
[insignia]B: omg, wthell did i just walk into?
[insignia]rav: just another rav bashing B...nothing new =\
[insignia]B: LMAO, rav <3
kaz: so rav, you comming to the UD45 run tonite?
[insignia]B: i'm in
[insignia]kaz: nobody asked you to come B with your gimped mage
[insignia]B: i'll show you my gimp kaz
[insignia]tyn: gyeah rav, we could use your epic heals /sarcasm
[insignia]rav: stfu tyn, you know you love my last second heals...hAHa...i can't help but to deal a little damage tyn...you know my style bro
[insignia]tre: oh noez rav and his rav heals
kaz points at rav and laughs his ass off
[insignia]rav: all the reason why i don't miss most of ya...kaz specifically-=Þ
[insignia]rav: anyways, i've been putting my scroll saw to use cutting out the side panel but i wasn’t able to take any pictures of that work

http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/OverklocK/Act%20I%20Scene%202/P0002252.jpg

[insignia]rav: had a good RL friend (Frankie) come over recently, the one that sold me the lian-li pc-70 and as a favor for selling it to me on the cheap ($50), I cut out the “all seeing eye” on the side of one of his steel cases…this I have a picture of since he was able to capture it while I cut it out

http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/OverklocK/Act%20I%20Scene%202/P0002256.jpg

[insignia]sparky: wasn’t steel tough to cut through with a scrollsaw rav?
[insignia]kass: LINUX! Yummy=)
[insignia]rav: not really sparky, it’s about technique not the material I was cutting into brotha…took me about an 2 hours to cut it out since most of it were simple cuts
[insignia]rav: the following day I paid a visit to him in hit garage which I call the “linux box” and to my surprise he had finished most of it off

http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/OverklocK/Act%20I%20Scene%202/P0002344.jpg
http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/OverklocK/Act%20I%20Scene%202/P0002342.jpg
http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/OverklocK/Act%20I%20Scene%202/P0002343.jpg

[insignia]rav: so after scroll sawing most of the red bull out of my side panel, much work was needed to be done to cover the finer details of the lettering, so out came my dremel with a routing attachment

http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/OverklocK/Act%20I%20Scene%202/P0002310.jpg

[insignia]rav: lots of filing needed to be done to the lettering as well as straight lines

http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/OverklocK/Act%20I%20Scene%202/P0002260.jpg

[insignia]rav: finally completed the shaping and am quite content with the results considering the rudimentary tooling I had to work with-=]

http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/OverklocK/Act%20I%20Scene%202/P0002340.jpg

[insignia]kass: impressive rav, very clean lines…must’ve taken you a good long while to get all that nearly perfect
[insignia]rav: lol, sure did kass…I spent a few days chipping away at those lines and lettering with those small files and being a perfectionist doesn’t help
[insignia]kaz: rav, perfect…those two words in the same sentence is blasphemy
[insignia]tre: QFT @ kaz…lol
[insignia]kass: this is true…hehe
[insignia]sparky: lmao
[insignia]milu: doH!
[insignia]shady: rav is almost as perfect as me being handsome…but nice work [insignia]shady:…I’m still prettier than your computer case-=P
[insignia]syn: your computer isn’t evil enough for my taste rav, but the components inside look sick…I’m sure you can create a lot of demonic mayhem with the power within
[insignia]rav: @ shady, you’re so into yourself brotha…it’s a shame your looks don’t make up for your hunter skills…hehe
[insignia]rav: @ syn, /ignore but I love how ya think girly~! Syn <3
[insignia]tre: so whatcha gonna do to cover the big hole on the side panel rav?
[insignia]rav: was gonna cover it with a piece of plexiglass but I didn’t wanna mount it with double-sided tape so I’ve decided to use screws…….a lot of screws
[insignia]B: heh heh /snicker, he said screw…….<.<…light it up fool
[insignia]rav: spacing was crucial for the screws so I “measured twice and cut once”…actually I measured like 10x’s and cut once /smile

http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/OverklocK/Act%20I%20Scene%202/P0002428.jpg
http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/OverklocK/Act%20I%20Scene%202/P0002433.jpg
http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/OverklocK/Act%20I%20Scene%202/P0002429.jpg

[insignia]rav: so this is where I stand today…hopefully in the coming week I’ll move onto the LCD, stealth drives and if all goes well, I can get some vinyl stickers cut so I can complete the logo on the plexiglass
[insignia]rav: UD45 time bruddah’s and sistah’s
[insignia]shady: didn’t we set the standard of UD38 for a non raiding guild in craptastic gear?
[insignia]kaz: how easily you forget rav bastard…remember shady got locked out of baron’s room, you got d/c from the game ¾ through the fight and we still managed to down him with 6+min. to spare
[insignia]tyn: it’s because our skillz are 1337
[insignia]rav: @ tyn QFT
[insignia]GM: amen

[I]internet jargon
UD45 = undead stratholme 45min.
1337 = leet = elite

Three questions my friend:

Your thoughts on the Ryobi Scroll Saw?

Horde or Alliance?

Server?

it's quite ironic how partial i am to that scroll saw even tho she's a bitch...and she doesn't even belong to me to boot...that saw and i are like a unit now and here are the in's and out's as i know her...first lemme say that for the money, you get what you pay for but for the price she's absolutely priceless...she does what you need her to do but she has to be massaged the right way for her to do what you tell her, like changing blades is a bit of a hassel as the small hole underneath the unit that clamps on to the blade is a bit tight to reach into...the air blower has since given out, it doesn't work anymore...i do wish ther was some sorta guide so i can use it like a table saw (had to create my own jig to cut long strips of 1/8"x1"x18" for another project)...i also wish that the table area were a bit larger also...she has plenty of power to do light metal cutting...but all in all, i don't think anyone would be disappointed with it's overall performace vs. price...that's my 2cents on ryobi's scroll saw, so take it with a grain of salt /smile

as for our guild, we are alliance on the uldum server...i've tried horde side and there's nothing wrong with them but i get a more humble feeling on the alliance side...ofcourse there's gonna be a lot of jerks spamming city chats...but once you get into a wonderful guild like insignia, you wouldn't trade them for the world~!-=]...i do invite everyone to checkout our guildportal website, but i'm not sure if i can post other sites here...i'll take a look at the faq's later on to see if it's a violation.......

[asdf]rav: i got the 5.4” PSone monitor installed finally
[asdf]bomber: neat rav:)
[asdf]sparky: looks like a difficult integration
[Trade]rav: no need to be snotty about it…I’m sure if you asked them politely, you would get better results…+rep also because you’ve made evolutionary progression…damned Neanderthal
[insignia]: my bad
[Trade]acolyte: or a stupid face
[Trade]rav: lmao, gyeah…i like stupid face better-=Þ...now kindly STFU DrkOrcid and learn some manners
[asdf]rav: it pretty much fit nicely…i did face some difficulty initiating the drill holes, as i was afraid i had measured wrong and the screen would be crooked and the volume/brightness buttons would be out of place…after getting over that fear, the end result was pretty precise-=]

[asdf]rav: the art in almost most computer mods is the clean nature of making objects that look out of place, in place…in the case of dvdrom/cdrom drives, it’s quite difficult to smooth over it’s face appearance to coincide with the cases streamlines
[asdf]thom: /agree rav, so how do approach this concept from an artistic pov?
[insignia]worig: hey guys, i gotta bail.
[insignia]rav: bo0~! Worig
[insignia]worig: gyeah, sorry, i just pulled wife aggro…lol
[insignia]rav: LMAO bro…go gain that +rep back, hopefully you’re exhalted before nights end…hehe
[asdf]rav: in the world of computer case modding, you stealth drive…essentially, you cover the front face of the drive with material(s) that compliment the case…for my[LIFE] I used the blank aluminum covers that temporarily seal the open drive bays…a cut here and there, some double stick tape and “voila~!,” stealth drives at it’s best-=]
