The spider infestation that would happen if you introduced them would be wayyyy more creepy. I vote for seeing if you could introduce a bird or two. Those birds would get very, very fat though. And introducing species where they aren't supposed to be can have unseen consequences (see cane toad). I doubt that a handfull of birds would be a bad thing.

Better than the amount of poisons you would need. Maybe fire would be the way to go, here. That's still really freaky.
