Despite what the title sounds like, I am not having problems with Vista using too much memory. Instead I am having a problem with Vista minimizing just about anything I have running to tell me that I'm using over 80% (Oh god!) of my RAM.

It has exited me out of games more times than I can count and is getting very annoying.

So anyway, heres mah question:
Does anyone know how to get rid of this message?

Thanks,
Indybird

Researching currently, try increasing your paging file or get more RAM.

Yup, I have Vista too. Need atleast 2 Gigs of Ram to run it stable. Not sure if you are using the Vista Aero package or the Translucent windows, all that eats Memory too.

That's strange, I had Vista running on my 5 year old laptop, celeron 1,33GHz with 512MB RAM, it worked fine there. although it was not a speedy OS on that machine... I never got any messages like the once you talk about.

Yea, I think its redicilous how you can add more ram
. .and it ends up using more than before when everything was running fine.

Remember, WinXP is the same as it doesn't need to use the PF as much if it has available RAM ;)
