A good friend of mine got robbed yesterday while he was at school, and his parents were at work. (I feel guility too, more on this later)

They got in and took all his eletronics, his Laptop, his DS and gameboy, and his 6 year old brother's gameboy along with other stuff. I'm not sure if he had his 360 in his house, as it has RROD and he was gonna send it back. (If he had sent it back, this is the only time i'll thank M$ for a RROD.)

And I feel kinda guility as we drop him off, and we dropped him off and waited until he opened the door, and then we drove off. I know that I couldn't have changed anything by staying there or being with him when he discovered it but you know.... :dead:

Anyways, anyone have any ideas on what i can do? I was thinking of seeing if I could get the members of the band Muse to sign a computer case for him (I doubt it, but it's worth a chance), and I guess i'll build one out of my pocket for him. I've got an old dell lying around, but it uh.. Sucks. (Would need a new mobo to put a decent V-Card in, and it's only got 2.4ghz Celleron.

See if I can get all the guys of the band to sign one side, then have a stencil of the lead drummer (I think that's him) Matthew Belomey on the other side.

So any ideas guys?

All I can say is that it sucks, yes, but helping him out is noble of you. If nothing else, just be there and willing to help him or his family out with stuff (or let him play your consoles if you have them, etc).

That really sucks. All of the stuff should be covered under home owners insurance. I think having the band sign a case would be pretty cool. +rep for wanting to be there for a friend.

I agree with SgtM. It "should" be covered in the home owners insurance. I would deff talk to his parents about that. And if he likes the band alot that would be really sweet of you. (sweet like awesome lol)

Yeah he's a huge fan of Muse, but they live in the UK, and the only way to get them to sign a computer case, would be to buy one, mod it, then pay to ship it all the way across the ocean, have them sign it, have it shipped all the way back, etc.

Yeah, they are putting togeather a list of what was taken. Also i'm mad, they took his xbox games and dead rising. Now i'll never get to play. They left his wireless mouse, took the charager for it, took his laptop, left his music/guitar/guitar hero controllers, took his ds, and his gameboy, took his brothers ds and left that gameboy, took a daypack to stuff the crap in, etc.

I'll throw up a thread in the idea zone regardless later on about the idea i had for the case.

Automated shotgun turrets.

In all seriousness, I would definitely see if you could get some mail to muse, be nice about it. Say you would pay for the postage if you needed to send it across the atlantic, be as polite as possible, make it short, sweet, and politeness would probably yield the best results on that matter.

Dead rising... that sucks. I want to play that game too, the disappointment would kill me.

Christ, you know how much it would be to ship a case across the ocean? :S

Damn newegg doesn't ship there, or I could get them to ship it there, have them sign it, and have Muse ship me the case, and give me the bill. :/
