Hi to all TBCS’ers, I got fed-up seeing the “never posted” heading and thought I would get rid of it. I have never posted on any forum ever before and might as well start by doing it on the best computer case mod site I have found.

I have been checking out this site for a while before I joined, like most members I’ am very impressed by the quality of the builds on here.

I have over 25 years experience working with metal, fabricating and welding steel, stainless and aluminium.

I bought my first computer in 1995 and never ever thought about building one until my computer broke in 2007 and I decided to repair/upgrade/build a new one myself.

I found computer moding sites when searching for answers to problems I encountered during that build.

Everything I know about computers is completely self taught and I will hopefully get advice on the new rigs I am planning to build in the future, especially with the electronics, in return I can hopefully offer advice on the welding/fabrication on other projects.

Well that’s it, wasn’t too hard, I hope I haven’t bored you, till next time. YeeHa

WOW! Great to have you and very pleased you decided to chime in. This was the first forum I had ever posted on as well. Sounds like you know the place well already but if you need anything don't be shy.

Welcome to TCBS!! :D Please post any questions about your build. There are a lot of people with a crap load of knowledge about computers and modding.

I honestly can't wait to see what you can do. I'm a metalworker too (Novice machinist + Sheet metal worker) but I've only got ~2 years experience.

Oh, and make sure to read and abide by the rules (this is an obligitory sentence, I'm a moderator, y'know).

Welcome and enjoy.

Sorry for the delay in replying, what can I say but overwhelmed by the response and thanks guys. I hope I don’t let you down.

I do have a case that I am designing at present, a scratch built aluminium dual pc, however that is still in the design stage @ present, and my time scale won’t allow me to start that for at least a month or so.

Ichbin: I have looked at the steel / aluminium section in the modwiki section and think I could add some info to it, however I have a couple of projects (custom bikes not computers) I have to finish first, after these I will happily write some info on these subjects.

Cheers, Jim
